More than half of U.S. consumers plan to begin holiday shopping before Thanksgiving

A survey revealed that 51% of U.S. consumers plan to begin their 2021 holiday shopping before Thanksgiving, up slightly from last year. Of those early shoppers, more than two-thirds planned to start checking their gift lists in October or earlier.

For the past three years, Black Friday and Cyber Monday have continued to lead the holiday shopping charge. However, Prime Days, Deal Days and other competing retailer promotions last October placed October 13, 2020 among the top three shopping days in the fourth quarter of 2020. Once again, retailers such as Amazon and Target have announced holiday-like promotions starting this month. to further entice consumers to shop early.

Now that you know more about the shopping season, it's time to get down to work! Plan your sales strategy and don't forget to keep your e-commerce always up to date, as well as check capacity against possible demand.

Here are some challenges you might face and should consider:

Brand affinity and retention

Today more than ever, brands face the challenge of positioning themselves as unique in a saturated market. How do you get consumers to know, love and trust you so that they choose your brand over others? Contact us, we can help you.

Optimized and borderless experiences

Did you know that 80% of companies say they offer a superior experience but only 8% of their customers agree? To achieve this, you must generate loyalty and trust in your users through a truly superior shopping experience that differentiates you from your competitors.

International sales integration

In 2020, in addition to the growth of e-commerce, 68% of users made international online purchases. So do not forget to allocate resources for the creation of an e-commerce, this will give you exposure around the world, but first check your ability to sell, and even socialize with the rest of the world.

Pandemic lifestyle and behaviors will be very evident this season. Be prepared with a good strategy, we will be happy to help you plan it and together choose the best way to achieve your goals this year-end.
